(More customer reviews)I was swayed by the retractable cord on this item, along with the look. My first thoughts when I opened the box was that it had so much plastic, and looked cheap to me. The cord, although retractable, needs lots of help feeding it back into the toaster. The temp at 1/2 darkness burned my toast and I had to keep turning the temp down to keep from burning. It has these inner metal "holders" that tighten when you drop the bread, and you have to push the bread down because it doesn't fall naturally when the button is pushed to start the toasting.
I does toast well, once you figure all that out, but I could have bought a less expensive toasted elsewhere and gotten great toast.
