(More customer reviews)we bought it because we liked the styling (it looks very european) (whatever that truly means) - it looks industrial and not cutesy. we liked this. avanti isn't a big known brand. we knew that. it was on sale for $100 which was a fab deal. works great. but one big problem - it does not heat above 350 degrees. we suspected this and bought a good gauge which says it gets up to 350 but no more. actually i would say not even 350 but closer to 340 ... that's it. we're going to keep it though. oh well. i subscribe to the belief that in this world, if i seek perfection, i will be disappointed.
