(More customer reviews)I bought this recently, because I wanted a toaster for my college dorm. I wanted a fairly cheap one, so if it broke, it would be very easy to replace it, and I bought this one. I took it home and used it to test it, so I don't go to college with a fire hazard or anything. This thing couldn't toast my bread too dark, so I won't have to worry about setting a fire alarm off. Fortunately, I like my toast light, so I don't really worry. However, if you like even, dark toast, this wouldn't be your first choice, period. It's exactly what you pay for, so don't be surprised at the fairly poor toaster for $20. Regarding the speed of toasting, referred to by another reviewer: it's the speed of a normal toaster. If you can't wait for a toaster to toast for about 1-3 minutes, then wake up earlier, take a shorter shower, or don't complain. It's just a couple minutes. If your life is THAT important that you CANNOT wait for toast, then eat cereal.
