Heats up pretty fast and even, toasts pretty even & not too slow (about 3 - 4 minutes for medium) and broils such things as fish sticks and chicken nuggets quick and crispy. And unlike MANY toaster ovens, the door closes tight. Love the removable crumb tray and adjustable rack. My last oven was a B&D and it lasted 12 years. In reading many toaster oven reviews I am amazed at the number of people that really don't understand what a toaster oven is for. It's pretty simple. If you want fast toast, get a toaster. If you want to bake great, use a large oven. Toaster ovens are for those in between jobs. And this one has performed great for the last 4 months.
