(More customer reviews)Usually consumers Reports' ratings lead me to excellent products. in the case of this toaster, It seems impossible to use the "toast lifter" without using so much force that you launch the toast all over the room. If you have guessed right about the darkness you want, the toaster lifts the toast out nicely. If you want to stop the toasting process early, nothing works but brute force. At $10 the toaster problem isn't worth returning the item in hopes that a replacement would be different. I am getting pretty good at catching the toast as it flies by.
