(More customer reviews)These don't taste like walnuts at all. They are the whole shell, picked while still soft and green. The texture, shape, and size are about like a pickled beet. They are in a simple syrup that the walnuts have marinated in. They taste like rich spice--as though clove and cinnamon were in there, and something else not quite recongnizable. Yet there is nothing but walnuts and sugar in there.
I never would have thought to try these if my Kroger hadn't given me a sample. These would be so good on pancakes or waffles, or pureed and used in a million different ways. So far I've just eaten them out of the jar. ;)
