I have been eating them (about 2 a day) for over a month and am worried about when I run out. Prefer the chocolate chip to banana walnut. Both are excellent. Wife liked, 8yo daughter did not.

(More customer reviews)this bread I feel is a good alternative to starting from scratch however I did add some of my own ingredients so I don't know how it would taste on its own..
I did think it needed sweetening up a little..
for anyone interested I did add pecan nuts, cinnamon and orange peel which gave it more flavour...
[I did not use the walnuts which were included ]
I never use any type of nuts which are included in packaged breads..
Next time I will add sugar to the mixture.. it was easy enough to prepare which was what I wanted ..

(More customer reviews)I love fruitcake. Let me rephrase that; I love DELICIOUS fruitcake! In my part of the country the most famous fruitcakes come from the Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, Texas. They sell zillions of them all over the world and they are delicious. However, after sampling both Grandma's and Collin Street's fruitcake very closely and side by side during the recent Christmas holiday, I have to admit that Grandma's is the best. You see, great fruitcake must have 3 parts: 1- cake, 2- fruit & 3- nuts. The trick isn't getting the 3 parts in, but how much of each to use in the fruitcake's creation. Most fruitcakes are way too much cake and not enough fruit and nuts. Collin Street Bakery's fruitcakes have a little too much cake and a few too many nuts and therefore, not enough fruit. Grandma's fruitcake has everything JUST RIGHT! That is the secret. Before this past Christmas I would have said that nobody on this planet could make a better fruitcake than Collin Street Bakery. But now? Buy yourself a GRANDMA'S fruitcake and you'll probably start a new family tradition. From now on our family will be having a new holiday guest at our house. GRANDMA's FRUITCAKE will be invited to all of our special occasions. Yummmmmmmmmmmm. I just had another bite and yummmmmmmmmm. God bless. Mike

(More customer reviews)I am addicted to panforte, the traditional Tuscan Christmas fruit cake, I have even made Nick Malgieri's recipe at home with great success!
I have tried most of the brands on amazon, and when I can find it.
I find Maribisi is the top producer of panforte, their panfortes are loaded with Tuscan nuts and fruits and truly are the best quality.
My favorite is the margherita, however, recently I tried the date and almond cake, which was excellent.
I wait every October for the stuff to be shipped to the States.

I can see where they would be too salty for some folks, but I think the walnuts and pecans, by virtue of shape, will collect more salt than the almonds or cashews. Overall great quality.

I took an instant liking to it, even though I was not sure what the ingredients were, because all the packaging was in Chinese. I later learned that the main ingredients were black sesame seed powder and sugar. I have a sweet tooth and I love all things containing sesame oil or seeds, so this was an instant hit with me.
When I returned to the U.S., friends from Taiwan kept sending more black sesame porridge, but eventually it ran out and I ordered it here on AmazonBlack Sesame Instant Cereal Mix Powder (8 Sachets) - 14 Oz. It was just as good as the one from Taiwain. I highly recommend this to anyone who is not diabetic. It does contain a lot of sugar. It's very easy to prepare: pour the powder into a bowl and add boiling water.
