(More customer reviews)These are very dense, moist snack bars; could even be a meal replacement if you're up for something smallish. There's actually 5 flavors of these, but I believe only this one (Banana Walnut) and the Chocolate Chip one are available right now (and I can't recommend the Chocolate Chip one, it does not taste good to me). I look forward to trying the Brownie and Peanut Butter versions, as well as the Cranberry one. But these are excellent.
Each bar contains 5g fiber, 12g whole grain, and 6g of protein. More info on this product and their other things at [...]. I only just heard of this company the other week when a relative gave me one of their bars, but their products look great (if a bit pricey; but high-quality costs more).
Update: these are all made much better by warming them up: remove from package, and heat them for 10-15 seconds in the microwave. Makes them smoother and softer, like soft cookies just out of the oven.

(More customer reviews)These cookies are excellent in flavor and texture. They are the best wheat free, gluten free and non-dairy cookies I have tried. My son is on a very restrictive diet and is a picky eater. He just yums up these cookies. I often have to battle him to eat something else because he wants his cookies. These are the only cookies of this type he will eat. I don't know much about the other flavors but this flavor of cookie is tops.
The only complaint I have is that Amazon will not package them correctly. They will not cushion the bottom of the box and so a lot of cookies are broken upon arrival. I have E-Mailed a complaint but have not heard anything. Hopefully my next shipment will be packaged correctly.

(More customer reviews)I was looking forward to receiving this order. Almonds, macadamias, and walnuts! Sounded delicious.
Then I tried one, and was puzzled. Yes, I could taste some almond, but WOW, the main flavor was PEANUTS. The ingredients list peanuts as the largest amount of nuts. This should be called the Peanut, Almond Bar. If one likes to have the main flavor of a nut bar as peanuts, you will enjoy this.
The quality of KIND products I appreciate, as well as the low GI, the natural properties, and having a healthier choice. But honesty in advertising and product would be appreciated.
I was disappointed with the deception, and the unexpectedly strong flavor of peanuts, as I purchased it for the nuts I like best, which were supposed to be the main source of nut protein.

Diamond Whole Almonds, 6-Ounce Bags (Pack of 4) Review

(More customer reviews)Diamond Almonds -- yum! We eat them raw by the handfuls, and we toast them the way the package says in a single layer on a baking sheet for 10 minutes at 350ºF.
We tried the following recipe, which was on the bag, and loved it!
DIAMOND CHILLED SPICED ALMONDS
Ingredients
3 cups whole almonds
4 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil (We use olive oil.)
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons garlic salt (We substiuted powder to cut the salt.)
1/8 teaspoon black pepper (And we added a few shakes of red pepper!)
Procedure
Combine almonds and oil in large skillet. Cook over medium-low heat until lightly browned, about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. While almonds are cooking, combine all spices in food processor or blender, turning on and off, until finely ground. When almonds are done cooking, immediately transfer to a large bowl and toss with seasoning, blend to coat thoroughly, spread on baking sheet to cool completely. Store in airtight container up to 1 month.
About storage:
For good shelf life it's good to store them well. We don't worry about that because we eat them rapidly! I placed the bag between our computers to write this review, and Paul thought I was giving him a snack. For once, I'm resisting though, because if I get started, I'll never finish this review.
When you store them, you want to keep them from becoming rancid, and you want to keep the bugs out. Don't store them in an open container in the refrigerator because they will absorb the flavors of pungent food. The ideal temperature is 35-45ºF.
Almonds, which are the cousins of peaches, have an interesting history. They are native to the Mediterranen area and are mentioned sixteen times in the Bible. Most of the almonds we get today grow in California. That's where Diamond almonds grow.
We like Diamond almonds better than the others we have tried. We've never bought any that were not satisfactory. Our poodle loves almonds!
Because we like them so much and because we know they benefit cardiac and respiratory health, we eat them often. What needs to be considered is the density of this food. There are 170 calories in 1/4 cup. If we keep eating them the way we do, we will cancel out the health benefits!

(More customer reviews)These walnuts have a musty old taste. They are either old (no "use by" date on the package) or were not stored properly. I store all types of nuts in the refrigerator or freezer to keep them tasting fresh. I have found walnuts will go rancid quicker than other types of nuts if not stored properly. I live in an area of California where I am surrounded by walnut orchards, but organic walnuts here are in short supply. I stock up when they are available and they are excellent, but I recently ran out and decided to try these. I have ordered walnuts from several different venders online and these are by far the worst. I tried using them in a "raw chocolate recipe" hoping to mask the musty taste, but the musty flavor still came through.

(More customer reviews)This is a pretty good quality and tasting organic walnuts. Of course because it is organic it is like twice the price of other walnuts. Still not sure if the organic nuts vs. non-organic nuts will really make a big difference or not to our health? The only real dissapointment was that you get much more "pieces" than you get "halves". This is the key thing that prevented me from giving it 5 stars.

(More customer reviews)This is a delicious oil. The walnut flavor really stands out. We keep this oil in the refrigerator, to preserve freshness and taste. Definitely shake it well before each use. Everyone comments on how good it tastes whenever we use it. So, it's pretty universal in its appeal.
We make a salad dressing using this walnut oil, blood orange vinegar and honey. The ratio of all ingredients is 1:1. E.g.:
- 1/4 cup blood orange vinegar
- 1/4 cup roasted walnut oil
- 1/4 cup honey
(adjust to your taste buds)
Mix with a blender or hand blender (or by shaking the jar, but a blender mixes much better, especially with the thick honey). Wow, is this a wonderful salad dressing!
By the way, we use this blood orange vinegar: "Cuisine Perel Blood Orange Vinegar", which is available via Amazon. It has a wonderful flavor.

They taste great on a spinach salad with some craisins, vinaigrette and goat cheese, in your favorite yogurt or straight from the bag. Each bag is at least $4.50+9% tax in the grocery store here in my part of CA. If you get these on auto-ship they are discounted even further.
